Thesis Couture - Comfy Shoes Designed by Rocket Scientists

Thesis Couture Prototype

The dawn of comfortable stiletto heels is finally upon us! Thesis Couture, a collection of newly crafted, comfortable shoes designed by rocket scientists (I cannot make this stuff up), will soon be here for us all to enjoy.

Thesis Couture has been featured in WSJ, Bloomberg, Harper’s Bazaar and other prominent media outlets - all giving the company and its founder, Dolly Singh, wonderful reviews.

The Thesis team finally figured out the one big piece of the comfort equation; replacing the metal shank inside of the high heel shoe with a ballistic-grade polymer that distributes pressure better. With the shank gone and use of the polymer, we are supposed to be able to stand for longer periods of time, walk longer and ultimately not have our feet turn into something from the swamp.

I, personally, love my feet the way they are and the fact that I can wear open toed shoes, sandals, and flip flops at any given time. In the past few years, I’ve toned down my wear of heel due to having to walk a lot. The strain on my back and knees is highly annoying. So, to see this is like a game changer… but a game changer with a pretty price attached for red carpet styles ($350-$925). Other styles will be for day and evening wear.

You can look at more images from Thesis Couture’s events in LA and NYC on their website gallery and you can look at their current lookbook which shows more styles that are soon to be available. I’m already signed up for their email list because the shoes are first come, first serve. I am definitely looking forward to this!
